Let's get acquainted
I'm Rina and I recently moved to Israel with my dog Toby.
Moving to
a new country, I had to start
over again from scratch. It's not easy and I'm still
adjusting.
I've been through a lot: losing my parents early on, dealing with bullying at school, struggling with bulimia, struggling to get out of an abusive relationship, being treated in a psychiatric hospital with severe depression...
When I was undergoing treatment, I felt completely hopeless - nothing was helping anymore. At that point, I started reading books about cognitive behavioural therapy and began applying it — and it literally saved my life.
I then decided to retrain from being
a Japanese language teacher to
become
a psychologist at the
National Research Institute (Moscow) for Further Education and
Professional Training.
After graduating, I studied the CBT and other psychological approaches in more detail at the CBT Association (Moscow), the Metaphora Centre for Further Education in Psychology (Moscow) and also listened to a course on CBT from Oxford University.
WHY
YOU'LL
FEEL
AT EASE
WITH ME
Choosing a psychologist is challenging, filled with doubts, especially when you don't know someone personally. It's like making a blind purchase.
It's challenging to trust a stranger because you don't know their
principles or their personal and professional experiences.
I invite you to learn about my values and perspectives as evident in my work.
Scientific
I rely only on scientifically proven methods, opposing obscurantism.
feminism
I see the world through
a feminist lens.
No stereotypes.
LGBT+ Friendly
Providing a safe environment without judgement or prejudice.
Safety
Everything stays between us. Share your concerns and experiences openly.
what I can
help you with
The issues that I'm often approached with and which we work on most effectively with the help of CBT and other psychological techniques.
I will help you overcome these difficulties, understand their
causes, and learn self-help techniques so that you can lean
on yourself in the future
enlightening activities
I see my mission as sharing my experiences, increasing awareness of feminism, eating disorders (ED)*, abusive behaviour and the challenges women face.
As a blogger and activist, I've appeared on TV programmes and
shows as
a guest panelist. I've also been interviewed for for various
online media outlets.
* ED (eating disorders) — are eating behaviour disturbances: anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, psychogenic overeating, etc.
body positivity and ED
I want to raise awareness so that other women aren't scared,
don't start dieting when their weight is fine, and don't rebound
afterwards.
It's important to me that others don't repeat my mistakes and
avoid the same difficulties.
feminism
I want to spread awareness about feminism to fight stereotypes
and misunderstandings. Lots of women are scared of the word
"feminist" and isolate themselves from the female experience.
Sadly, they end up dealing with their problems
alone, feeling fear, and encountering discrimination.

What do I do if I can't articulate my request, if I just I don't know what's going on?
If you find it difficult to formulate your enquiry, that is normal. Come to a counselling session and we'll formulate your needs and goals together. That's part of my job. Don't be afraid to come in, I'm here to help you.
What do I do if I don't know how to start a conversation in counselling?
At the orientation session, we'll get to know each other. I'm going to ask you questions. It's a live process, but you can lean on me, I'll help and guide you.
How often should I attend counselling sessions?
I recommend attending counselling sessions at least once every fortnight. I believe that this is the minimum frequency that will give you the benefits of my counselling sessions.
How much counselling will I need?
The number of counselling sessions is individual, depending on many factors.
How can I cancel or reschedule my consultation if something changes in my schedule?
You can reschedule or cancel a consultation up to 24 hours in advance without charge. Otherwise, you will be required to pay for the session. Please note that if you are late, the consultation time will not be extended.
What if I can't continue to attend counselling?
Don't worry, even if at some point you're unable to attend counselling, you'll always have a set of effective tools for self-help that you will receive in our counselling sessions.
